Technical quiz & Brainstorming sessions

Participating Team shall be comprises of students from multidisciplinary streams so that they are well versed with the questions from core branches of engineering-CSE/ME/ECE/CIVIL.

Rules

There will be 3 rounds

• Round 1-General
• Round-II-Rapid Fire
• Round –III-Negative Marking round
• Minimum of 5 members in a team from same college
• Emerging topics will be discussed through brainstorming sessions.

Logo Designing for “GO-GREEN”

Participants should have an eye for creativity, design and passion. The logo design should reflect a sense of maturity, dignity and professionalism.

Technical Criteria

• Logo should be submitted in PDF format only with maximum size not exceeding 10 MB.
• Logo should be designed in colour. (Not Greyscale or Black & White).
• The size of the logo may vary from 5cm*5cm to 30cm*30cm with high resolution – at least 300 pixels per inch at 100% size.
• The Logo should be usable on the website / social media such as Twitter /Face book and on printed material
• The Logo should be designed on a digital platform and should be original, should not be imprinted or watermarked
• File should look clean (no pixilation or bit-mapped) when viewed on screen at 100%.
• Entries should not be submitted in compressed or self- extracting formats.
• Each participant can submit ONLY one entry.
• The logo design should not violate any provision of the Indian Copyright Act, 1957 or the Intellectual Property Rights of any third party.
• Participant has to explain their logo in a minute time

India is an emerging start up nation. Through this category of event, we encourage young minds to present their innovative ideas for a venture so that it can offer practical, scalable and creative solutions to everyday problems.

Technical Criteria

• The colourful creative should be submitted in PDF format only with maximum size not exceeding 8.27 x 11.69 inches.
• The Creative should be designed on a digital platform and original designs should be submitted.
• File should be high resolution – with a resolution of 300 dpi at 100% size.
• File should look clean (no pixilation or bit-mapped) when viewed on screen at 100%.
• Entries should not be submitted in compressed or self- extracting formats.
• Participant has to explain their poster in 2 minutes time

Code-Decode

BATTLE OF CODING

A coding contest is to test the participant’s test literacy, problem solving capabilities, debugging skills and proficiency in an interactive environment. Teams are required to unravel real-life issues through coding. Participants should tackle the most significant conceivable questions in indicated time interim in the most proficient way. The programming aptitudes of members would be tested in this competition.

Description of the Competition

It is an hour coding contest. Teams will use coding to solve extremely tricky mathematical problems that can’t be solved by using a calculator. Problem will revolve around mathematical intricacies, statistical predictions, physics, seepage, real-life scenarios, and much more.

Rules

• Participants have to bring their own laptops during the competition.
• Teams will be responsible for their devices. It is advised that laptops should be properly charged before the competition.
• Use of online compilers and the internet is not allowed. Participants have to come with offline compilers pre-installed on their laptops. Any team found using online compiler will be disqualified from the competition.
• Mobile phones are not allowed during the competition.
• The organisers reserve the right to change any or all of the above rules as they deem fit.

Scoring

The exact marking will be disclosed later. There would be some tie- breaker questions in the paper in case of a tie. The person with more correct answers to the tie-breaker questions would be awarded more marks.

Idea Presentation for “OCEAN REVIVAL”

The Ocean Revival is to preserve, protect and save water from pollution and to protect marine life. The ocean revival’s prime focus is to conserve marine life dependent on oceans, which in fact will ultimately help in the protection and preservation of ecosystems in oceans.

• The presentation will be delivered by Teams of maximum two members each.
• The presentation should be in pptx/ ppt or pdf format as compatible windows 7.
• The maximum allowed time duration for presentation will be 4 minutes.
• Presentation slides should be selected in such a way that all matter is discussed within allotted time frame.
• Presentation can include various aspects, challenges and remedies directly or indirectly related to “OCEAN REVIVAL”.
• Judgement will be based on relevance of topic and presentation creativity.
• Remedies to save oceans should be a major part of ppt.

Selection Process (common for all)

• All entries received by the stipulated date and found in order, shall be evaluated by a Selection Committee, constituted for the purpose. The decision of the Selection Committee would be final.
• The Committee will shortlist the entries and will decide the winner if an entry is found suitable.
• Entries would be judged on the basis of elements of creativity, originality, composition, technical excellence, simplicity, artistic merit and visual impact and how well they communicate the theme chosen.
• Winner shall be required to provide the original -open source file of the designed logo/brochure/ppt.
• The submissions should contain well information on the topic/causes/solutions/remedies
• The submissions must be original and should not violate any provision of the Indian Copyright Act, 1957 or the Intellectual Property Rights of any third party.
• The winning entries are meant to be used for promotional and display purposes, Information, Education and Communication materials and also for any other use as may be deemed appropriate.
